Damage to a truck windscreen is particularly annoying. As a truck driver, you undoubtedly know that the windscreen of your truck is made of laminated glass, which consists of two layers of glass with a layer of PVB film in between. In theory, this is extremely strong and the windscreen can withstand an incredible amount. Is there a chip with a larger diameter of 20 millimetres or a branched crack outside the view of the driver? Then the windscreen does not need to be replaced immediately, although we strongly recommend this for safety reasons. The windscreen may crack further and these types of damage can still obstruct the view of the driver in the truck, which is not desirable. Especially when driving longer distances.

The amounts at your dealer are high because they are trying to sell you branded windscreens. Branded windscreens carry a logo, which makes them exclusive. That seems like a lot, but it literally does nothing for the quality or characteristics of the windscreen itself.
