Cheap windscreen replacement for your BMW 4-Series

The BMW 4-Series, actually a spin-off of the BMW 3-Series in which two models were given their own line, is a sporty-looking, compact car by BMW that has been sold around 10,000 times in the Netherlands. If you have a damaged BMW 4-Series and you need a windscreen replacement, check out our prices first. We can offer you a new BMW 4-Series windscreen for just € 249.

Before we take a closer look at the aftermarket windscreens for the BMW 4-Series, let's have a closer look at this model of BMW that didn't score nearly as well as the other models that are related to the 4-Series.

The BMW 4-Series; born out of the 3-Series coupé and convertible

The BMW 4-Series is not really a completely new model. To create the 4-Series, BMW took the coupé and cabrio from the BMW 3-Series and gave them their own line. The first generation therefore also consisted of the coupé and cabrio, supplemented by a 'liftback' (the Gran Coupe 4-Series BMW). Right from the first generation, the 4-Series BMW was equipped with a petrol and a diesel engine, with 3 (diesel only), 4 and 6 cylinders.

In 2020, the second generation of the BMW 4-Series was launched, in exactly the same versions as the first generation. However, it is unmistakably a new generation; the design was given a lot of work to ensure that people would be able to tell the difference between the BMW 3-Series and the BMW 4-Series, even from a distance. Among other things, the 4-Series received a much larger front grille borrowed from the 1930 BMW 328.

The High Performance Model BMW M4-Series

As with many of its other models, BMW also developed a High Performance model for the BMW 4-Series; the BMW M4. And let's be honest; this is a car you don't go shopping with, unless the supermarket is next to Spa, or the Nürnburgring. The car has been given over 500 bhp, it takes less than 4 seconds to get from standstill to 100 kilometres per hour and the whole car radiates sportiness.

This is not just our opinion. In the promotional video for the M4, BMW does not hide its real intentions;

Has the BMW 4-Series been a success in the Netherlands?

The success of the BMW 4-Series in the Netherlands is relative. You could say that the 10,000 models that have been sold are pretty stark compared to the sales figures of, say, the BMW 5-Series, or the BMW X1. However, given the market segment and the price of the car itself, we can well imagine that BMW is not dissatisfied with the performance of the 4-Series. By the way, the BMW 4-Series has been sold well over 200,000 times in Europe between 2014 and 2021, which are certainly not childish numbers.

When should the windscreen of the BMW 4-Series be replaced?

Windscreen damage is very annoying, but in no way does it mean that you have to take your BMW to a garage. On the contrary, in most cases you can just drive on with damaged windscreens, especially when the damage is out of sight of the driver. There are two cases where the windscreen does need replacing. The first is when the damage is in the driver's field of vision and it's a chip with a diameter of at least 20 millimetres, or a branched crack.

In all other cases the window does not need to be replaced, because it is not a reject. However, it is wise to keep an eye on the window damage, because a damaged window can crack further. This is especially true when temperatures outside and inside the car are far apart, like when driving with the windscreen heater on during the winter months.

Can I replace the windscreen of my BMW 4-Series by myself?

Do you have a garage or are you particularly experienced in car window replacement? Then you can simply order a new windscreen from us without installation. You can even choose to pick up the glass(s) at our location to save even more on costs. If you have little or no experience with replacing car windows, we strongly advise you not to do it yourself. Incorrect fitting or errors during fitting of windscreens can result in the window coming loose or you damaging the car.

Since you can opt for on-site installation by a certified fitting partner throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, you can be sure that the window will be fitted properly and you can count on a guarantee.

What does a new BMW 4-Series windscreen cost?

You can find a new BMW 4-Series windscreen for as little as € 249. This is the price excluding delivery and fitting. You can specify what you want on the page for the right windscreen; the price shown changes with each choice you make, so you always know exactly what the final cost will be.

Our windscreens are significantly cheaper than those of your BMW dealer. This has to do with the logo that you find in BMW windscreens and not in our aftermarket auto glass. Since the automotive glass is made in the same factories with the same machines, you can count on identical quality. Only at a much lower price.
