Cheap windscreen replacement for your Citroën C-Crosser

The Citroën C-Crosser is one of those typical Citroën models that is not exactly unique and at the same time did not become a big sales success, as it just could not find that perfect fit with the market. Nevertheless, more than 800 units
of this model have been sold in the Netherlands. Do you have a C-Crosser and need a windscreen replacement? Then you have come to the right place. We have cheap replacement windscreens and offer on-site windscreen replacement to make things as easy as possible for you.

Before we delve further into our offer, let's look at the model of Citroën that could never become what the French hoped for.

2007-2012 the production years of the Citroën C-Crosser

Released in 2007, Citroën's C-Crosser was based on the Mitsubishi Outlander and was immediately joined by a little brother: the Peugeot 4007. These would become the first Japanese (produced by Mitsubishi) cars made under a French (Citroën and Peugeot) label, but the big successes would not materialise. Indeed, there were plans to significantly scale up production of the C-Crosser and even bring it to the Netherlands at the time the model would break through, but that moment never came and the C-Crosser never rolled out of a factory in the Netherlands.

Even the attempt to tap into a new market with the C-Crosser Commercial, a model with panel doors with no rear seats and no rear windows, would prove to be in vain, which is why Citroën decided to take the model off the market in 2012 and replace it with the Citroën C4 Aircross (which in turn would also subsequently become a complete flop for this car brand).

Has the Citroën C-Crosser been a success for the French?

Absolutely not. The model was in production for more than five years and not even more than 50,000 units (47,800 to be exact) were made of this model. Perhaps because it is simply a model that fell in between many markets or precisely because this is one of the many models that fell victim to badge engineering. The Citroën C-Crosser had to compete not only against competitors, but also against its own siblings (the Peugeot 4007 and the Mitsubishi Outlander). Its success was so low that the planned production line in Born (Netherlands) would never even be deployed because there was not enough demand for this model.

So the disappointing success is not very strange. Especially when you see that in advertising this model, Citroën had no idea which strengths to address, so the clip below could have been used for almost any model from any car manufacturer.

Less than 1,000 units of this model have been sold in the Netherlands, leaving it dangling low in the list near the Citroën C4 Aircross, Citroën C6 and the Citroën Evasion.

When should the windscreen of your Citroën C-Crosser be replaced?

The windscreen of your Citroën C-Crosser needs to be replaced when there is window damage in the driver's field of vision and this is a branched crack or a chip with a diameter of at least 20 millimetres. Is the windscreen damage in another place in the windscreen or is the size limited? Then you may continue driving with the damaged windscreen and the car will also not be rejected on the windscreen damage at the next MOT. Of course, you can always choose to replace the windscreen (or have it replaced) in these cases, as an intact, clean windscreen is always the best option.

What does a new Citroën C-Crosser windscreen cost?

You already have a new Citroën C-Crosser windscreen for €349. This includes VAT, which means that our replacement car windows are significantly cheaper than those at your dealer. There is a somewhat striking explanation for this. Namely, the only difference is the presence of a brand logo in the original windscreens which ensures an exclusive character and thus a much higher price. The quality of the automotive glass is identical and the car windows are even often made in the same place, which means that our Citroën C-Crosser windscreens are always the best value for money

Can you replace the windscreen of your Citroën C-Crosser yourself?

There are many things we like to do ourselves to save on costs. However, replacing a windscreen is something you are better off not doing yourself. If you have little or no experience, chances are you will damage the car or the new windscreen, which will only cause much higher costs. To make things as easy as possible for you, we work with professional fitting partners who will replace your car windows on-site throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. This means that you do not have to drive to a workshop yourself and, at the same time, do not have to worry about the process of windshield replacement.

Are you a garage owner or a specialist in car windscreen replacement? Then you can also come to us for new car windows excluding fitting. You can even choose to collect the order from us (possible by appointment only).
