Cheap windscreen replacement for your Citroën C25

When it comes to the most exciting, spectacular models from France, it is without a doubt not the Citroën C25. While this was a fine model for its time of production, it had little chance in the competition, partly because it was part of a hefty badge engineering project. Do you own a C25 and need a windscreen replacement? Then you will find cheap automotive glass with the option to arrange instant windscreen replacement on-site. But before we surprise you with the low price of our Citroën C25 windscreens, let's take a look at the C25.

As we have come to expect from Stellantis: a long list of siblings

Part of a major collaboration between PSA Group and FCA Italy, the Citroën C25 is one of the models that has come to market with a long list of names, with the model versions all having exactly the same base. These are the siblings of the Citroën C25:

The Citroën C25 - mainly the forerunner of the Jumper

The Citroën C25 was in production from 1981 to 1993, replacing the Citroën Type H,
Citroën's 1-tonne bus that had been in production since shortly after the end of World War II (introduced in 1947). It was not a particularly exciting model, with its target market being particularly small. Not only because the bus was not immediately suitable for the average commuter, but also because numerous different makes came immediately with varying versions. The models were fitted with a Peugeot 504 engine or the engine block from the Citroën CX
(the diesel version).

In 1993, the Citroën C25 was taken out of production and the next generation started (for all cooperation partners). For this French brand, this marked the birth of the Citroën Jumper, a model that would have considerably more impact and success.

Now we should add that there were several options for the C25 too (at the dealer and, of course, on the after market and with handy handymen). Below is a somewhat dated video showing a number of model modifications (including some C25s with Dutch registration plates):

How successful was the Citroën C25?

Although Citroën still decided to market a minibus and a pick-up in 1991, the Citroën C25 never became a resounding success. Perhaps because of its limited target market, perhaps because there were too many similar models (with only a different manufacturer) on the market, or simply because competition from the Renault Trafic kept the wind out of the sails of Citroën's C25.

When should the windscreen of a C25 be replaced?

The rules around windscreen damage are the same for all vehicles on the road in the Netherlands, including the Citroën C25. If there is a chip with a diameter of 20 millimetres or more or a branched crack in the windscreen of your C25 and it is in the driver's field of vision, the windscreen has to be replaced. This is because your car or van will then not pass the next MOT.

You can always choose to have the windscreen replaced, even if the windscreen damage is not a reject and you can continue driving with the windscreen damaged. There are many people who do this because they find the damaged window ugly or because the chip or crack is distracting while driving.

What does a new Citroën C25 windscreen cost?

You already have a new Citroën C25 windscreen for €299 (including VAT). At your Citroën dealer, you will pay considerably more for a new windscreen, which is remarkable. In fact, the quality is identical. The price difference has to do with a brand logo incorporated into the original windscreens, which only make them look more exclusive (they do nothing else for the car window after all).

Our replacement Citroën C25 windscreens do not carry a brand logo and therefore we can offer them much cheaper. Our windscreens are so cheap that they are often still a lower price than used car windows for a variety of models of Citroën and other car brands.

Do you directly arrange on-site windscreen replacement?

Replacing a car window yourself is difficult when you have little or no technical knowledge and do not have the right tools. When it comes to replacing a windscreen, we strongly discourage you from doing it yourself. A small mistake can already cause damage to the new window, damage to the car or even a hospital visit. That is why we cooperate with professional fitting partners who replace car windows on-site. They do this both in the Netherlands and Belgium. So you don't have to go to a service point yourself, our partners come to you to replace the window of your C25 so you can be back on the road safely in no time.

Do you know someone who can replace the windscreen of your C25? Then you can of course also come to us for a new windscreen excluding fitting. Thus, we work together with professionals and garage owners and are happy to help you too.
