The Citroën C4 Cactus is one of many models in Citroën's C-series and is perhaps one of the most talked-about, high-profile models in the range. PSA began production of the Citroën C4 Cactus in 2014 in Madrid and immediately marketed the model in three versions: the Touch, Feel and Flair. The sub-compact crossover was actually supposed to get a bigger brother, but Citroën swept the plans off the table before the model came to the factory. Interestingly, the C4 Cactus is called a compact SUV even though it is on the same platform as the Citroën C3 and the Citroën DS3 (PSA PF1 platform), which are considerably smaller.
However, the C4 Cactus particularly stood out for its ‘Airbumps’, the panels on both sides of the car specially designed to prevent parking damage. This would also immediately become another bouncer for the model's success, as Citroën decided early on to make the Cactus available in a variety of colours.
In 2018 came a major facelift for the model, although it is hardly noticeable from its appearance. The major changes were technological in nature. For instance, the C4 Cactus got significantly more ADAS systems, including emergency braking assistance, lane-keeping assistance and, from this point on, the model could recognise traffic signs. Also, from this point on, the model would be called a hatchback and no longer an SUV.
The Citroën C4 Cactus was withdrawn from production in 2020, which was mainly due to corona issues and measures.

An intact, clean windscreen is vital for good visibility on the road, but since car windows are still made of (laminated) glass, the windscreen can easily be damaged when a pebble splashes against it. When a chip or crack gets in the driver's field of vision, it can mean that your car will no longer pass the MOT. This is the case when it is a chip with a diameter of at least 2 centimetres or a branched crack. If the windscreen damage is in a different place or limited in size, you can continue driving with the damaged windscreen. However, be sure to take a critical look yourself to see if the damage is distracting while driving.
