Although the Citroën Jumpy has been part of a larger project (badge engineering, something Citroën is not averse to), this has become a fairly successful and versatile model from France that has been in production for quite some time. Do you have a Jumpy and need a windscreen replacement? Then you can find cheap, quality new windscreens with us that can be fitted on-site soon.
Before looking at our cheap car windows for the Jumpy, let's take a closer look at this model to see where its success has come from.
So are the models otherwise unique? Unfortunately no. To set up these production lines, they borrowed from the Citroën Evasion, the Peugeot 806, the Lancia Zeta and the Fiat Ulysse. Interestingly, Fiat did opt for its own engines in the models, making them distinctly different from the Citroën Jumpy models.
The second generation of the Citroën Jumpy brought more space and more different trims, with a larger range of different engines at the same time. The idea was clearly to ensure that it was better connected to the market by expanding its capabilities. It had good reason to, because in 2013 the model got another sister in the form of the Toyota Proace, again the same model with a different name.
In 2016 came the third generation with Peugeot and Citroën adapting the models to the modern car market as well as adding two more models for passenger versions: the Citroën SpaceTourer and the Peugeot Traveller.
The electric versions of the Citroën Jumpy were fitted with a 50 kWh battery pack, but had a 75 kWh battery pack as an option. This should allow a range of around 330 kilometres. The electric models are equipped with a 7.4 kW charger as standard, but an 11 kW charger (recommended) is also available as an option.
Citroën already had 465,000 units produced on the counter in 2012, where Peugeot had just over half a million. This already clearly indicates that these models have become a success, especially since the Citroën Jumpy is a model intended for a specific market. The model has also scored reasonably to well in the Netherlands, with 2,000 units sold at the time of writing. This leaves the Jumpy well behind the Citroën C6 (also a model for a very specific market) and even the Citroën DS4.
We seize this moment to show you one of the worst car commercials ever, which may be attributed to the Dutch branch of Citroën that was allowed to make a promotional film for the Citroën Jumpy (and probably had to negotiate a loan with the bank right after that, because otherwise we don't understand the angle at all).
While windscreen damage is always annoying, it by no means always means that you need to immediately look for a new windscreen for your car. So when should the windscreen actually be replaced? The Citroën Jumpy windscreen needs replacing when the damage is in the driver's field of vision and this is a branched crack or a chip with a diameter of at least 20 millimetres. The car will then no longer pass the MOT. Since the Jumpy is often used on a professional daily basis, it is good to take a critical look at the damaged windscreen yourself. This is because professionals often choose to replace the windscreen as well when it is not immediately necessary (but desirable).
You already have a new Citroën Jumpy windscreen for €299 (excluding fitting and including VAT). The quality is identical to that of original windscreens for the Citroën Jumpy and yet our replacement car windows are considerably cheaper. The reason is a brand logo that is included in Citroën car windows, but which does nothing for the automotive glass. It literally just makes it look exclusive and thus higher in price.
Our after market windscreens for the Citroën Jumpy have no brand logo and are therefore much cheaper. In fact, our new windscreens for this model are often even cheaper than second-hand car windows for the Jumpy.
As replacing windscreens is not an easy (and often not even a feasible) job, we cooperate with professionals who replace car windows on location throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. So there is no need to take your car to a garage or make time for windscreen replacement. Our fitting partners simply arrange this in your driveway, at your garage during your car's maintenance, or a parking space where you work.
If you are a garage owner yourself or a specialist in windscreen replacement, you can also choose to order the car windows from us exclusive of fitting. You can also choose to collect the windscreen (by appointment) to save even more on costs.
