Along with the Ford SportKa, the Ford StreetKa was a welcome addition to the range of Ford Ka models. The special models were mainly to ensure that Ford would gain more market share in the smaller car market, although many were never made. Do you own one of the Ford StreetKa models and need a windscreen replacement? Then you will find quality automotive glass at particularly competitive prices with us. Before we surprise you with the price of our new windscreens for the Ford StreetKa, let's take a brief look at this model.
Ford had started producing the Ford Ka back in 1996, a model that became a huge success. More than 125,000 were sold in the Netherlands alone, but Ford wanted more. Ford therefore decided to add two versions to the model line. The sleeker, sportier Ford SportKa and the convertible Ford StreetKa, both with a soft and (later, optional) hard top.
The Ford StreetKa is known as the Pininfarina Ford because this was the company that developed and made the model. The quality of these models is many times better than the standard version of the Ford Ka, partly because considerably more attention was paid to rust protection.
The Ford StreetKa was available in two versions: basic and luxury. The luxury version was equipped with seat heating, leather upholstery (both the seats and the door interior), heated side mirrors and, of course, numerous options that made the Ford StreetKa not only a small, sporty version, but also extremely comfortable.
In 2006, the Ford StreetKa was taken out of production, having received a facelift the year before.
A total of less than 40,000 examples of the Ford StreetKa were made at the Pininfarina factory and demand for this striking model was also disappointing, which led to the StreetKa being in production for only four years. This will not have been a big surprise for Ford either, as this model was not developed for a mass market, but rather a niche as a sleek, small convertible that needed to be sexy above all else, which is evident in the advertisement where Ford managed to snare a famous singer.
Damage to the car is always annoying, especially when it comes to windscreen damage, as it can cause additional risks while driving. However, there is no immediate cause for panic when a pebble splashes against the windscreen. On the contrary, as most people simply continue driving with a chipped windscreen, especially when it does not impair visibility. As long as you have good visibility through a clear, clean windscreen, it is likely that you can continue driving with the windscreen damage.
However, there are two cases where the windscreen does need to be replaced. Your car will no longer pass the inspection if the windscreen damage is in the driver's field of vision and it is a branched crack or a chip with a diameter of 20 millimetres or more. This is too inconvenient and creates too great a risk while driving. Not only because the window damage is distracting, but also because incoming light can be reflected in unpredictable ways, allowing sunlight or the headlights of your oncoming traffic to blind you.
With us, you can find a new windscreen for your Ford StreetKa for as little as €399 (excluding delivery and fitting, including VAT). You can also have a new top moulding delivered straight away (€30). The price of our automotive glass is much lower than what the Ford dealer charges you and there is a reason for this. The dealer only offers car windows with a brand logo. That logo makes the automotive glass exclusive (and that's all the logo does), which means you pay extra for your new windscreen.
We offer replacement car windows, or after market automotive glass at particularly competitive prices. The quality is identical, but the price is much lower because with us you do not pay for an unnecessary brand logo. This also directly means that with after market car windows, you will always find the automotive glass with the best value for money. The difference in price is so great that our new windscreens for the Ford StreetKa are even cheaper than almost all second-hand windows for this model.
If you are not sure if you can replace the windscreen yourself or want to search online for manuals and YouTube videos 'for inspiration', we strongly discourage you from getting started with windscreen replacement yourself. Only when the windscreen is replaced in the right way can you be sure that the window and car will not be damaged and that the new car window will not have any problems or defects.
To make things easier for you, we cooperate with certified fitting partners who replace car windows on location throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. So you do not have to take your car to a garage yourself, our partners simply come to you.
Are you an automotive glass specialist or do you know someone who can replace the windscreen of your Ford StreetKa? Then you can also simply order the new windscreen from us excluding fitting. If you want to save even more on costs, you can also collect your order from us. This is only possible by appointment.
Do you have a Ford StreetKa whose windscreen needs replacing and want to make sure you choose the best quality at the lowest price? Then our replacement windscreens are the best option for you. During the ordering process, you can easily indicate whether and when the windscreen needs to be replaced by our partners.
Do you have any questions about Ford StreetKa after market windscreens or our way of working? Then please contact us so that we can help you further in person.
