The Toyota Avensis is a popular model and more than 70,000 units of this model have been sold in the Netherlands. As the model is no longer in production, the counter will (unfortunately for Toyota) remain still. Do you have a Toyota Avensis with damage in the windscreen and do you need the windscreen be replaced? Then you will find cheap car windows with the best value for money. Before we look at the price of our new windscreens for the Avensis, we first take a closer look at this model than has been in production for more than two decades.
The Toyota Avensis first entered the market in 1997. Although a Japanese model, the Avensis was made for the European market in Derbyshire. The Avensis would remain in production until 2018 in various versions. The Avensis is the successor to the Toyota Carina E (and would be sold about as often in the Netherlands).
Back in 2000 came the first facelift for the Avensis, in which the engine was fitted with new valves, satellite navigation was added as standard and the 2.0-litre Avensis SR was added to the range.
In 2003, the second generation of the Toyota Avensis entered the market, which was adapted to the modern market and immediately presented in several versions. This model had to compete with the Volkswagen Golf, the Mazda 3 and the Fiat Panda, but struggled in this battle.
In 2006, the Avensis received a major facelift, but already two years later, the third generation of the model was announced, which would arrive at dealers in 2009. Once again, the model was updated to modern standard, which ensured that the Avensis received considerably more attention from car enthusiasts. The facelift in 2012 made the front end of the car to look tighter, and the second facelift had a completely new front bumper, head and rear lights and completely new engines, including the 1.6-litre diesel.
A lot of commercials were made for this model, but where Toyota usually makes fine cars, most commercials are a bit thirteen-in-a-dozen. One of the better commercials can be found below, where the makers decided to use a clever joke at the end of the clip to still put a smile on the face of many a viewer.
A small stone can be enough to cause a chip in the windscreen. Although windscreen damage is always a bit of a shock, by no means does the windscreen need to be replaced in every case of damage. On the contrary, in most cases you can simply continue driving with a small chip or crack in the windscreen. Only when the damage is in the driver's field of vision and involves a chip with a diameter of at least 20 millimetres or a branched crack, the windscreen does have to be replaced, because then your Avensis will no longer pass inspection.
Do you decide to continue driving with less extensive windscreen damage or a chip or crack outside the driver's field of vision? Then keep an eye on the size of the chip or crack. This is because on days with a large temperature difference between the outside and inside, the window may crack further.
You already have a new windscreen for the Toyota Avensis for €349, including VAT. However, it is wise to first look carefully at exactly which windscreen you need. There are different versions of the Toyota Avensis and there are also different windscreens. Also, the windscreen moulding for the new windscreen is not included in the aforementioned price. It must be added separately to the order.
To make things easier for you, the page adjusts the price for each choice you make. That means you can immediately see the total price for the new windscreen including on-site windscreen replacement and/or delivery.
Replacing a windscreen is work for a specialist, which means that in almost all cases, you will not be able to replace the windscreen yourself. This is because the windscreen has to be disassembled correctly and then the new windscreen has to be fitted accurately. If disassembly or fitting is not done correctly, it can lead to damage to the car or even dangerous situations.
That is why we cooperate with certified fitting partners who replace car windows on location throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. It does not matter whether your car is in your own driveway, your work's car park or a car park at a shopping centre. That means you never have to drive to a garage with car window damage, because our partners simply come to you.
