We have cheap high-quality automotive glass for almost all car models and brands, so you can always find the right car window with us.
Before we surprise you with the low price of our Toyota HiAce windscreens, let's take a look at the model that has been in production for almost 60 years and more than 6 million units have been sold over the years.
The first Toyota HiAce rolled out of the factories in 1967 and is still in production at the time of writing. The HiAce has since been released in numerous versions, including as a truck, ambulance, taxi, minibus and as a genuine MPV. The production line of the HiAce is as follows:
A new model of the HiAce has been announced for 2024. Like its predecessors, it has a substantial boot, a powerful turbo-diesel engine (2.8) and should be able to compete with models such as the Mercedes-Benz Vito, the Volkswagen Caddy, Renault Trafic, Peugeot Partner and the Ford Transit Custom. This model from Toyota is expected to be another big success especially in Australia, as the previous generations have consistently claimed considerable market share here too.
The HiAce from Toyota has been a huge success. Already by 2019, more than 6 million units had been sold in some 150 countries. However, the large model never became a resounding success in the Netherlands, mainly because the market for such large car models in the Netherlands is relatively small. Some 800 units of this model were sold in the Netherlands.
As usual, we have looked up for you a commercial made to market this model. In this case, a promotion from Australia that aired in the 1980s and secretly has a bit of an A-team vibe about it.
The risk of damage to the windscreen is inevitable if you want to use your Toyota HiAce on a daily basis. In far from all cases, windscreen damage means replacing the windscreen. In fact, you can often continue driving with damage in the windscreen of your Toyota HiAce. In two cases the windscreen does have to be replaced, because it is too dangerous and the car will therefore be rejected at the next MOT. This is the case of windscreen damage in the driver's field of vision involving a branched crack or a chip with a diameter of at least 20 millimetres. This has to do with the fact that your vision is severely impaired and you may be blinded by incoming light that is unpredictably reflected by the windscreen damage.
If you decide to continue driving with limited window damage, bear in mind that the chip or crack may crack further if there are large temperature differences between the two sides of the window. This is the case, for example, when you put the heater full on the windscreen during a cold winter day.
You already have a new windscreen for the Toyota HiAce for €299. This is the price including VAT and excluding the windscreen moulding, windscreen replacement and delivery. This price is much lower than that of new windscreens at the Toyota dealer, while the quality of the car window is identical. Indeed, the windows are often even made in the same factories. The price difference is in a brand logo. The original windscreens for your Toyota HiAce feature a brand logo that ensures that the car window has an exclusive character, and that is what you pay for. Our windscreens do not have a brand logo (mainly because this logo does nothing for the car window glass), which ensures that our replacement Toyota HiAce windscreens are even cheaper than almost all second-hand windows on the market for this model.
If you are not sure if you can replace the windscreen of your Toyota HiAce yourself, then it is wise not to even start doing this yourself. This is simply not one of those jobs that you can do yourself with an instruction manual or a YouTube video in the background. If you make a small mistake, it could cause your car to be damaged or the windscreen could even come loose when you need to brake abruptly.
