Cheap windscreen replacement for your Toyota IQ

The Toyota IQ is a particularly compact model that is mainly intended as a model that can be used in the city, and all parts of the design and production of the model have taken urban use into account. Almost 3,000 units of this model have been sold in the Netherlands. If you have one and need to replace the windscreen of your Toyota IQ, you can find affordable new windscreens of the best quality with us.

Before looking at our cheap car windows, let's take a quick look at this model of Toyota that is said to have been in production for less than 10 years.

2008 to 2015: one generation of the Toyota IQ

Many Toyota models have been in production for many years and have numerous different generations and model variations. This is not the case for the Toyota IQ. The IQ went into production in 2008 and this line stopped in Europe as early as 2015. In Japan, production stopped only a year later.

Everything about the IQ screams city car, like its compact design (with four seats anyway, although not all of them are suitable for adults), flat fuel tank, very small turning circle and pleasant handling. The only thing that has proved to be a major drag on its success is the price relative to space. This is because the Toyota Aygo is considerably more spacious than the IQ, but at the same time was about €10,000 cheaper, effectively making Toyota compete with another, own model.

How successful has the Toyota IQ been?

The Toyota IQ was in production for a modest period and was mainly meant to compete with the smaller cars that have been stamped with the term ‘city car’ for a number of years. It succeeded, because despite a sales period of only 7 years, some 2,800 units were sold
in the Dutch market. Internationally too, the IQ became a success of reasonable size. For instance, almost 17,000 units were sold in Britain.

Normally we divert to the United States or Australia for promotional material from the Japanese, especially since models like the Toyota Hilux and the Toyota HiAce have become resounding successes there. This time we keep it close to home and look at the advertising for Belgium, where all emphasis has been placed on the compact design, excellent roadholding and limited turning circle, making this an ideal city car.

When should the Toyota IQ windscreen be replaced?

Windscreen damage is no reason to abandon the car immediately. In fact, in most cases, you can actually drive on just fine with a damaged window, even if it is in the windscreen. If the crack does not obstruct your view of the road and the chances of being blinded by light coming in through the damaged window are minimal, there is usually nothing to worry about (except that it does not look pretty).

However, if the windscreen damage is in the driver's field of vision and there is a branched crack or a chip at least 20 millimetres in diameter? Then the story changes. The windscreen of your Toyota IQ will then have to be replaced, because your car will not pass the next inspection. This is because this windscreen damage can cause very dangerous situations.

What does a new windscreen for your Toyota IQ cost?

You already have a new windscreen for your Toyota IQ for € 399. This includes VAT, but on-site delivery and replacement are not included in the price. When you indicate your preferences on the order page, the website changes the price immediately. So you can always see at a glance what the total cost of your order is.

Are you wondering how it is possible that our Toyota IQ windscreens are so much cheaper than Toyota's original windscreens? The price difference is not in the quality, as it is identical. The difference is in a brand logo that makes the original automotive glass unnecessarily expensive. After all, the logo does nothing for the window, but creates an exclusive character that has to be paid for by the customer. We don't participate in that. Our Toyota IQ windscreens do not carry a brand logo and that means we can offer our products significantly cheaper.
